Parent Board & School Commission

Parent involvement has always been an important part of St. Joseph Marquette. The Parent Board and School Commission help support the school's mission while strengthening the sense of community that makes St. Joe's special.

How we're organized

Two groups, one mission

Both exist to serve St. Joe's families and keep the school strong.

Parent Board

Fundraising, events, and family community

The Parent Board oversees fundraising and social events for the school community. It helps build communication among families and is committed to raising $252,000 annually, a goal they meet every year through events like the Fresh Catch Dinner & Auction, the Jog-a-Thon, and Fish Fridays. The Board meets monthly and can be reached at sjmmspb@gmail.com. Members serve three-year terms.

School Commission

Guiding the future of St. Joeseph Marquette School

The School Commission is an advisory board that works with the principal to develop school policy and long-range plans. Members may also serve on the Finance Committee, which reviews major expenditures and presents the annual budget. The Commission meets the third Thursday of each month, August through June, at 7:00 PM in the Marquette Library. Members serve three-year terms.

Events that support St. Joe's

At St. Joseph Marquette, fundraising is about more than dollars, it's about families coming together to support the school they love. Through five annual events, the Parent Board helps raise more than $252,000 each year to benefit our students and keep tuition affordable.
