Compete, grow, and belong.
Athletics give students the chance to build confidence, character, teamwork, and school spirit. With sports across the fall, winter, and spring seasons, there is a place for every student to compete, grow, and belong.
Marquette Middle School belongs to the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) and is a member of the Yakima Valley Gold League (YVGL). Participation in the Marquette athletic program is voluntary and open to sixth through eighth grade students.
Seasons and sports
- Fall: Volleyball; Cross Country (with Christ the Teacher); sometimes Boys Soccer (with Christ the Teacher and Riverside Christian).
- Winter 1: Boys Basketball.
- Winter 2: Girls Basketball.
- Spring: Track and Field (with Christ the Teacher); sometimes Baseball and Girls Soccer (with Christ the Teacher and Riverside Christian).
The Gold League
The Gold League includes Goldendale, Highland, Kittitas, Mabton, Riverside Christian, Christ the Teacher (formerly St. Paul's), Sunnyside Christian, Union Gap, Walter Strom (Cle Elum), and Mount Adams. Some sports are played in combination with Christ the Teacher.
